Many Queenslanders may not be aware of the risks we face in cyberspace—but being cyber secure is no more complicated than the steps you take in other aspects of your life.

We all do things to safeguard our physical belongings such as locking our doors and ensuring a tight grip on our wallets. By taking the same care of your devices and accounts when engaging online, you can protect yours and our family’s valuable information and credentials.

Here you’ll find advice and tips to help you stay cyber secure online.

Internet Safe Education

In 2023, Barcaldine Prep - 12 State School was honoured to receive a visit from the team at Internet Safe Education. We are now pleased to advise that our school community now has access to a 24hr a day Cyber Safety Hub (ISE) who is a trusted Provider with the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. What does this mean for you?

You will have exclusive access to all the support, resources and education you will need to raise your child in the online world and create a safe, fun, education and productive family. The HUB is available to you on any device and applies to school aged children of all ages. This comes as no cost to you as a member of our community.

What's included?

  • Courses for you as a parent or carer that will guide you to setting up the ideal home technology environment.
  • Dozens of targeted downloadable resources including conversation starters, victim indicators and a home technology contract for computers and phones.

  • Webinar library covering specific topics.
  • Monthly articles that are recent accurate and relevant.
